Public metrics page, as of September 2026
Uptime and performance monitoring with alerting, incident timelines and public status pages, built to be simple enough for a small team and complete enough for a platform.
The problem
A small team finds out its product is down from a customer. The options are a checkbox that pings a URL and tells you nothing, or a platform that needs configuring and someone to own it. Both end the same way: alerts nobody trusts, and an incident nobody is writing down.
The first call
We asked what happens in the minutes after something breaks: who is told, where they look, and who tells the customers. That sequence, not the metric list, is what the product had to be good at. Status pages came into scope in the same call, because the customer-facing half of an incident is most of the pain.
What we built
Uptime and performance monitoring with alerting worth waking up for, incident timelines that record what happened while it is happening, and public status pages fed by those same incidents. Simple enough for a small team to set up in an afternoon, complete enough for a platform to keep using.
How they run today
The team hears about an outage before the customers do. The incident writes itself as people respond, and the status page updates from that record rather than from somebody remembering to post.
What changed
Downtime became something the team runs rather than something that happens to it. The conversation afterwards starts from a timeline that already exists, which is the difference between learning something and arguing about it.
