The form below is the whole of it — one paragraph is enough to start, and a finished specification is not expected.

What happens after you write

A person reads it. If the question can be answered in writing, you get the answer; if it needs a conversation, we reply with two or three times inside your working hours and a note on what we would want to cover.

We aim to reply within two working days and usually manage the same day. That is our practice, not a guarantee: a message that lands on a Friday evening may wait for Monday. If two working days pass with nothing from us, send it again — it went missing, and we would rather you resent it than assumed.

What to include

• The problem in a sentence or two, and how it is handled today.

• Roughly how big it is: how many people, how often, how long each pass takes.

• Anything that already exists — a live product, designs, a prototype, the spreadsheet that quietly became the system.

• When you would like it working, and whether a budget band has already been set.

• A link, if there is one. It saves a round trip.

None of that is required. It only changes how useful the first reply is: with it we can usually come back with an approach and a rough shape, and without it the first reply is questions.
