Photographers deliver galleries that open only after the invoice is paid, so agents pay on time and photographers stop chasing. More than 70,000 invoices sent and $14M+ collected.
The problem
A real-estate photographer shoots a property, delivers the gallery, and then starts chasing the invoice. The work is delivered and the pressure is off, so payment terms become a question of how persistent the photographer is willing to be. Chasing is unpaid work, and it lands on the person who least wants to be doing it.
The first call
We looked at where payment sits in the delivery, and moved it. Not a reminder and not a late fee: the gallery opens when the invoice is paid. The rest of the call was about making that read as normal to the agent receiving it, because a payment gate that feels hostile costs the photographer the client.
What we built
Invoicing and gallery delivery in one flow. The photographer uploads, the invoice goes out with the link, and the download opens on payment — quick enough for an agent to settle in a minute, and complete enough that the photographer never leaves the product to raise, send or reconcile a bill.
How they run today
Delivery and getting paid are the same action. Photographers send the gallery and stop thinking about it; agents pay to open it, which is an ordinary transaction rather than a confrontation.
What changed
Chasing largely left the job. Money arrives with the delivery rather than after a pursuit, and the photographer's admin evening went back to being an evening.
